  48. A Catalog of Objects and Kits for NEXTSTEP, 1994
  49.  
  50. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
  51.  
  52. NeXT Developer Relations is producing a 1994 catalog to showcase
  53. NEXTSTEP objects and kits from independent third-party developers.
  54. The catalog will be available to customers, resellers, and the
  55. NeXT sales force. The Objectware catalog is one of NeXT's most
  56.  
  57. valuable sales tools.
  58.  
  59. Third-party products currently shipping, or scheduled to ship by
  60.  
  61. December 1994, are eligible for entry.  You must be a member of
  62.  
  63. the NEXTSTEP Registered Developer Program in order for your
  64.  
  65. products to be included in the catalog.  If you would like to
  66.  
  67. join the NEXTSTEP Registered Developer Program please call
  68.  
  69. 1-800-TRY-NEXT or 415-780-3990 to obtain an application.
  70.  
  71. Product descriptions for the catalog must be received no later
  72.  
  73. than Wednesday, April  13!
  74.  
  75. If you're a NEXTSTEP Registered Developer and want your product
  76. listed, please follow these guidelines carefully.
  77.  
  78.  *Each product must have its own separate, complete entry.
  79. Don't include multiple products in the same submission.
  80.  
  81.  *Submissions must be in electronic form, preferably sent by
  82. electronic mail. You may send them on a floppy disk or on
  83. optical disk.
  84.  
  85.  *Use Edit as your word processor. Spell out abbreviations
  86. and capitalize proper names exactly as you would like them
  87. to appear in the catalog.
  88.  
  89.  *Don't use a bold or italic font, and don't format your
  90.  
  91. text with multiple columns.
  92.  
  93.  *Unless you clearly indicate otherwise, the catalog will
  94. state that you can accept orders from, and deliver product
  95. to, customers worldwide.
  96.  
  97.  *Please do not include icons or other graphics.
  98.  
  99.  *Make sure that everyone in your company who needs to
  100. approve your copy does so before you submit it.
  101.  
  102. Each submission should include the following:
  103.  
  104. 1.Suggested product category
  105. - See Product Category Choices at the end of this form.
  106. - Choose only one category, even if several fit your
  107. product.
  108. 2.Official product name
  109. 3.Product description in no more than 160 words
  110. - Material that is too long will be returned to you to
  111. edit.
  112. - Focus on your product's key capabilities and what sets
  113. it apart from similar products. Please do not quote
  114. reviewers.
  115. - Insert a blank line between paragraphs.
  116. - Include trademark symbols (<<TM, <<R>>) when you first
  117. mention trademarked products or companies in the
  118. description.
  119. 4.Company name
  120. 5.E-mail address for product information (optional)
  121. - Please use lowercase letters
  122. 6.Company phone number(s)
  123. - You must include a non-800 number for international
  124. callers.
  125. 7.Company fax number(s)
  126. - Add "fax" after the number. For example: 123-456-7890
  127. fax
  128. - You must include a non-800 number for international
  129. callers.
  130. 8.Name, phone numbers, and e-mail address for your
  131. distributor
  132. 9.Product availability
  133. - Type "Shipping now" or the month, if later than May
  134. 1994.
  135. Do not submit entries for products shipping later than
  136. December 1994.
  137. - Indicate availability on each platform:  Motorola-based,
  138. Intel-based, and HP PA-RISC-based NEXTSTEP.
  139. - Indicate whether your product will support OpenStep.
  140. 10.List price
  141. - Indicate price for product on each platform.
  142. - At least one price should be in U.S. dollars.
  143. - List no more than three currencies.
  144. 11.Trademark information
  145. - We publish trademark information for products mentioned
  146. in the catalog. You must include appropriate trademark
  147. symbols for your products as well as for ancillary
  148. products you mention.
  149. - You do not need to provide trademark symbols for NeXT
  150. products.
  151. 12. Name of the contact person for this catalog submission
  152. - This will not appear in the catalog.
  153. - Please designate a single person to be responsible.
  154. 13.Phone number, fax number, and e-mail address for the
  155. contact person if different from questions 4-6 above
  156. - This will not appear in the catalog.
  157. 14. Your organization's Registered Developer Number.
  158. - This will not appear in the catalog.
  159.  
  160. Remember, entries must be received no later than April 13! Please
